Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction - Houston

Projects:

- Heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, tunnels, wet lines $5m-$50m)

Responsibilities:

- Project Manager will oversee all phases of the construction project time-line

- Manage financial aspects of the project

- Perform site visits across Greater Houston & monitor progress of construction activities

- Reinforce compliance of field safety regulations by all field personnel

- Draft & submit budget proposals, and recommend revisions where necessary

- Respond to RFI's

- Manage change orders

- Work with assigned superintendent(s) & proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises & devise contingency plans

- Represent company in project meetings & client meetings

Required Skills:

- Minimum 4 years experience working as a heavy civil Project Manager

- Engineering related degree or degree in construction management

- Ability to read blueprints

- Could have solid experience (at least 5 years) as a surveyor, estimator or project coordinator looking to step up as we have excellent training & mentorship

- Outstanding interpersonal/human relations skills

- Outstanding verbal, written communication & presentation skills

- Ideally experienced in using P6 & HCSS Heavy Bid
